My name is Jack Ratterree

(RA-ter-re) — (he/him) — sagittarius


I’m a designer and researcher based in Raleigh, North Carolina. A visual communicator and systems thinker, I keep my feet on the ground and my head in the clouds. I love solving old problems in new ways, straightening out complex concepts on a whiteboard, and designing for social impact. My interests lie at the intersection of the material and immaterial— technology, culture, community building, and future-making. I strive to apply human-centered design thinking in multidisciplinary contexts and to make change locally and globally.

I have recently graduated with a Master of Graphic Design degree from North Carolina State University where I wrote my thesis on playful civic engagement in smart city development.
